Hello! I’m Rafael Andrés Torres, a fine art photographer driven by a passion for capturing the extraordinary in the everyday. My work is deeply influenced by masters like Ansel Adams, Fan Ho, and Henri Cartier-Bresson, inspiring me to transform the world’s beauty into serene, minimalist images that speak to the soul.
My journey in photography reached a turning point during a transformative sabbatical in Ketchikan, Alaska. Immersed in its breathtaking landscapes, I spent a year and a half refining my craft. Two of my images, Ketchikan and A Perfect Ten, were honored as part of the Alaska Positive 2019 Exhibition at the Alaska State Museum—a milestone that affirmed my artistic vision.
Beyond this, my work has been featured in distinguished galleries, including the Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon; NYC4PA (New York Center for Photographic Art); and Perspective Gallery’s Vicinity 2023 exhibition. These opportunities have enriched my perspective and deepened my commitment to creating art that elevates spaces and stirs emotions.
Now based in Mount Prospect, Illinois, I continue to pursue this calling with gratitude and an unwavering dedication to artistry. Each piece in my collection is thoughtfully crafted to adorn your walls and accentuate your space with timeless elegance.
